An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in a brand new Sleep Disorders Unit which is part of Respiratory Services at Christchurch Hospital.
This position provides an opportunity to work closely with the Sleep Disorders Medical Director, and to oversee service provision, development and training of physiologists and nursing staff. The Christchurch based Sleep Services includes secondary and primary health sectors and co-ordination between the two will be a necessary role for this position.
The unit will provide a wide range of assessments ranging from home oximetry to full polysomnography, CPAP and BIPAP therapy.
We are seeking a motivated trained physiologist with experience in sleep science with management skills which include budgeting and staff supervision. You should hold a BSc or post graduate qualification in a related health science area and preferably the BRTP or a willingness to gain this BRTP credential.
